The Important Stuff

We’ve had a few enquiries of how we like to work at the blossom parlour. So we ought it was best to write a little something to let you know what to do and how we proceed when you first get in touch.

First, we receive your email (or telephone call). We love getting those. We check through the details and make sure we’re free for your event. If we are, great. If not, we are happy to direct you to our fabulous florist friends who might be able to help.

Next, we book in a telephone consultation. These tend to last around 30mins. It gives us a good idea of what you’re looking for, how you see your day and what your personality is like, so that our blooms suit you.

After the telephone call, we put together a rough quote, and a proposal. This gives you an idea of what we could do for you and your event. Of course, it’s not set in stone and these ideas are able to evolve throughout the planning process.

If you’re happy with the proposal and quote, a holding fee is taken. This is to save the date of your event. Then, we arrange a full consultation, with lots of coffee and cake. Or maybe some bubbles, if you’re that way inclined. We tend to spend an hour sitting and talking through everything in as much detail as possible so that we can go away and give a more accurate quote. Once this is agreed, a deposit is taken, less the holding fee.

We like to keep in touch with you right through your planning process, so will check in at 6 and 3 months to make sure you’ve not change the colour scheme or anything like that! Then at 6 weeks before the day, the final payment is made and you receive an email from us with every detail of your order, along with timings of deliveries and so on. We like to take a telephone number of the best man or maid of honour for wedding bookings, so that if we need to get hold of someone, were not boring the bride or groom with trivial matters on their big day.

Then, on the day of the event, we rock up, and make it all pretty. It’s as simple as that!

We hope that makes it all a bit easier for you, reguarding the way we work. We don’t have a price list, because everything is bespoke; tailor made to suit you. This doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to cost you an arm and a leg (we have our own arms and legs, were good on that) but it does mean we are putting you at the heart of our work. It’s the most important thing to us – creating something that is unique, as ethically sourced as possible, and just so you.

Now. Drop us that email, and let’s us book you in for cake.
